Certification

You’re welcome here.

Help people find care with honesty, clarity, and compassion. Together, we can make every call more humane.

A shared purpose

Move forward.
Together.

Lead generators belong in this conversation. We welcome your experience, listen openly, and make room to improve. We do not stigmatize or blacklist.

Rehab.ai accepts no advertising or paid placement and sells no leads. Advertising is part of how people find care. Together, we can make that experience better.

Certification recognizes reviewed practices. It does not provide advertising, preferred placement, referrals, or a clinical endorsement.

The commitment

Seven standards. Every caller.

For lead generators and the call centers and partners who represent them.

01

Be open and honest.

Be clear about your ownership, websites, provider relationships, and how you are paid. Describe services accurately and disclose relationships before recommending care.

02

Advertise responsibly.

Follow marketing, privacy, consent, and referral requirements. No conquest advertising: never use another provider’s name or brand to divert their callers. No impersonation or misleading affiliations.

03

Give every caller a call buffer.

Start each call with a non-billable buffer for introductions and a choice about continuing. Never keep someone waiting or delay a requested transfer or urgent help.

04

Make your role clear.

At the start of the call, name your organization, explain that you are an intermediary, and say whom you represent. Make this equally clear on your website and in advertising.

05

Honor the caller’s choice.

If someone asks for another center, explicitly say you are not that center. Offer to connect them with permission. If you cannot, share verified contact details. Let the caller choose.

06

Help people find a next step.

If you cannot help a U.S. caller, offer a transfer to SAMHSA at 1-800-662-HELP (4357), with permission. If declined or unsuccessful, share the number and FindTreatment.gov. Elsewhere, offer local public referral resources. Urgent help comes first.

07

Keep payment off the clock.

No contracts that make payment depend on a caller staying for a set time. Never prolong calls or delay transfers to earn payment. The call buffer must not become a payment trigger.

Referral resource: SAMHSA’s National Helpline provides free, confidential treatment information and referrals, 24 hours a day, in English and Spanish. Rehab.ai’s program is independent and is not affiliated with or approved by SAMHSA or LegitScript.

How it works

Built on trust.
Backed by evidence.

  1. Introduce yourself.

Tell us how you work and where you want to improve.

  2. Review together.

We review all seven standards using redacted policies, scripts, terms, or a demonstration.

  3. Make progress.

We explain concerns and welcome corrections. You can ask for reconsideration with new evidence.

  4. Earn recognition.

Badge use starts with written approval and continues while you meet the standards.

How your operation works

Help us understand the real caller experience. You are welcome to apply while making improvements; certification requires meeting every standard.

Paste the words a caller hears when your team answers.

List your brands, domains, provider relationships, and how you prevent conquest advertising. Public policy links are welcome.

Explain when the non-billable buffer starts and how your call system implements it.

Describe your disclosure, consent, transfer, and fallback contact process.

Describe your SAMHSA handoff and fallback process, plus local referrals outside the U.S. if applicable.

Explain how you and your team are paid, and how your contracts avoid call-duration payment thresholds.

Tell us what is already in place, what you are improving, and the evidence you can provide. Use redacted examples only.

Applications are private. Do not submit caller names, phone numbers, recordings, medical information, or confidential contracts. We will discuss appropriate evidence during review.
